1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored by a website in your browser. Similar technologies, including local storage, can remember information on your device. Some are essential to deliver a requested service; others require a choice or consent.
2. What ActualOS currently uses

Exact cookie names and lifetimes can vary when authentication or infrastructure providers update their implementation. Session cookies are retained for the session or the security expiry configured for the account.
3. Analytics and advertising
Our source and active integrations do not currently load analytics, advertising or behavioural-tracking technologies on ActualOS pages. If non-essential analytics or advertising technology is introduced, this policy will be updated and an appropriate consent control will be presented before those technologies are activated where required.
4. Stripe and external services
When you open Stripe/Link Checkout or the Stripe Customer Portal, you leave the ActualOS domain and Stripe or Link may set cookies required for payment, fraud prevention, security and its own services. Those technologies are governed by Stripe’s policies and controls. Links to other external sites may likewise use their own cookies.
5. Managing storage
You can delete or block cookies through browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary authentication or security cookies can prevent sign-in and other features from working. You can clear ActualOS local storage through your browser, but this may reset theme/language preferences or remove unsaved drafts.
